Math and Sciences Learning Center
The Math & Sciences Learning Center (MSLC) provides tutoring assistance for most MATH, CHEM, BIO, PHYS, ENGR, and CS classes. Come check us out!
SCHEDULE A TUTORING APPOINTMENT
Whether in one-on-one or group tutoring sessions, MSLC tutors prioritize a student-centered approach to learning. We engage students directly in the learning process, one problem at a time, to promote increased understanding of concepts and independent problem-solving skills. When not working with tutors, students may use the space to work on math and sciences coursework, individually or in groups.
The MSLC offers tutoring for the following classes:
MATH: 7, 41, 70, 90, 96, 97, 98, 99, 111, 141/142, 151/152/163/264, 146/211, 148
CHEM: 121/171/172/173, 131/241/242/243, 255/256
BIO: 90, 107, 111, 150, 245, 246, 247, 248, 265, 270, 274, 285, 170, 211, 241, 242, 260
PHYS: 114/115/116, 221/222/223
ENGR: 114/206, 115/214/215/225, 90, 100, 102, 104, 202, 204, 240, 294, 297, 298, 299
CS: 121, 141, 143, 151
Please Note: Math tutors do not provide instruction to replace missed classes; consult your syllabus or instructor if you miss a class.
For in-person tutoring, you can either make an appointment or simply stop by one of the MSLC (in room 4213 in the Library/4000 Building) during scheduled hours. (Note: If you wish to ensure that a tutor is available at a desired time, we highly recommend that you make an appointment.)
